Invader Zim and Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog) are very similar shows. They both follow the lives of incompetent alien invaders living on Earth. The SGT Frog is currently on Hulu (available for free). I could not find a legal online source for Invader Zim. SGT Frog is also on Netflix instant watch for those of you who have Netflix and don't want to deal with Hulu's commercials.
Personally, I like both shows. But SGT Frog is better. The comedy just seems to be a bit broader in scope.

It's more intelligent in its humor, albeit targeted for a specific audience, and has a more relevant depiction of Earth.

Zim is "shallow" because it's basically the same comedy in every episode. The situation changes but the comedic format is still basically the same. That isn't to say that Keroro isn't formulaic as well... but there are more characters and therefor more variety. Plus the addition of the narrator in SGT Frog is hilarious.
This is apparently a "test episode" so some of the voices are different.

Zim. The weaboos would disagree with me, but oh well. I think Zim has a kind of comedy not too often touched on, and the kiddies afraid of Dark Harvest be cursed.
I've heard of Keroro before, but now that I know what it's about I might check it out sometime.

Heh. Keroro Gunso for sure.
I feel like people shouldn't just go for Zim automatically before giving Sgt. Frog a chance. It is hilarious. Once you watch it, you will never go back... until you run out of episodes to watch.

I'm leaning more towards Zim, but that's mainly because I used to always watch the show when it first came out, so it plays the nostalgia factor.
