Leading golf social media darling Alissa Kacar has praised influencer Paige Spiranac for paving the way for women in the sport.

Alissa, from San Diego, thanked Paige for “setting that path” for female voices with her millions of followers on social media. The former school teacher, fast becoming a major sports voice online, says that while fans adore her sex appeal, cashing in with an OnlyFans site is not on her agenda.

Alissa is proud that women are being represented in TV media sports equally as the men after decades of being ignored. Alissa, whose tag on social is newladygolfer, admits that Paige - with her four million followers - is an inspiration.

"She's the original. She is the original golf girl influencer. It looks like she's doing really well on social media, so I hope that is translating into a successful and rewarding career for her.

“She is gorgeous, she's an amazing golfer, so kudos to her for just doing her own thing on social media and kind of setting that path for the golf girl world on Instagram, then letting everybody find their own way just like she's doing.”

Alissa has been offered opportunities to use her looks to earn cash on OnlyFans. She insists that will not be her path but doesn’t criticize any others for choosing those money making ventures.

"I am always of the space that people should do whatever is they think is best for them. I don't know everybody's situation. I can only make decisions what I think is best for me to do. So me personally, I don't have an OnlyFans, but I have no trouble with anybody who feels that that is a good thing for them to do.”

Alissa is delighted that the profile of women’s golf is rising worldwide. “It's great, especially with golf. That's the great thing about golf is that honestly, maybe not from the same tease, but when you balance it all out.

“But women can play just as good as golf of the men. So that's what I love about golf, having a handicap system. Anybody can compete with anybody of any level on any day. And the women of the LPGA tour are incredible.

“I can't even put it into words how good at golf that they really are because the sport is so tough. So it's really nice to see them getting a lot of more notoriety. Nelly Korda is just killing it on the LPGA tour.

"So I just love generally how the sport from the professional level all the way down to the social level is just exploding and I'd like to see it keep doing that.”

Alissa spoke before she played at George Lopez Foundation's 17th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic in Los Angeles. She admitted that playing alongside comic Lopez and the wise cracking stars like DL Hugely, Tim Allen and Cedirc The Entertainer can be distracting for some.

"You just kind of have to block it out and just do your best. Plus I feel like I kind of stay away from the banter. I kind of just stay off to the side so I don't get too many comments thrown my way, which is a good thing. It is just how I like it.

"So when it comes to my work and my professional work that I do with events like this, I take it very seriously. But when it comes to the golf aspect and after we hit that first tee shot, we relax a little bit, have a co*cktail, and just have some fun. So I'm a mix between serious and fun.”

Alissa teed off at the fundraiser, which raises millions for the George Lopez Foundation. That organization creates positive, permanent change for underprivileged children, adults and military families confronting challenges in education and health, as well as increasing community awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.

Alissa will be part of the promotion for the 124th U.S. Open Championship at Pinehurst in June 2024.

"My next event, I will be at the US Open Media Day out at Pinehurst, which I'm really excited. I'm going to get to play the course and that should be a really great day. I have some more charity events like this coming up in May as well. So yeah, just one day at a time event by event and just have fun with it. “
