4 tips and tricks for a fun, family weekend at the NASCAR Cup Series race in Nashville (2024)

NASCAR is back in Nashville once again.

The NASCAR Cup Series will run the Ally 400 at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway, marking the fourth edition of NASCAR's annual stop in Middle Tennessee.

Fans are making the trip to see NASCAR's best drivers battle on the track from all over the state, and even the country. Here are some tips and things to know of how to make race day a fun and family-friendly day.

Experience Fan Zone entertainment at Nashville Superspeedway

The Fan Zone has all kinds of entertainment to get fans ready for the Ally 400. There will be a variety of games and vendors around the area for kids of all ages (yes, even the adults) to enjoy.

There is also a list of entertainers set to hit the Fan Zone along with driver appearances and live music throughout the day on Sunday. Here's the list of live entertainment on Sunday in the Fan Zone (all times Central).

  • Dialed Action -9:15 a.m, Noon
  • Xpogo - 10 a.m.,1:30 p.m.
  • Red Trousers - 10:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m.

"Trackside Live" is a pre-race show that includes driver interviews and will also be on the Fan Zone stage beginning at 11 a.m. with Kenny Wallace, John Roberts and Jose Castillo running the show.

Carson Hocevar (11 a.m.) Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Josef Newgarden (11:15 a.m.), Austin Cindric (11:30 a.m.) and Kyle Busch (11:45 a.m.) are all expected to make an appearance on the show.

Catch the Ally 400 pre-race concert

Tim Dugger will perform a pre-race concert on Sunday in the speedway. The show is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. and fans can access the show by upgrading their ticket package to include a Pre-Race Track Pass.

Bring a water bottle, backpack to be prepared for race day at Nashville Superspeedway

It's looking to be a warm day on Sunday with temperatures in the 90s, there is also a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Fans should look to bring a backpack or bag to be prepared with food, drinks or rain gear.

Nashville Superspeedway track policies state fans are able to bring in one clear bag or backpack no larger than 18 inches by 18 inches by 14 inches to include headsets, scanners, cameras, binoculars, cold packs and more. It's also a good spot for the kids to store their souvenirs from the merchandise haulers.

Fans are also able to bring a clutch bag or fanny pack, no larger than 4.5 inches by six inches.

Fans can bring a water bottle or insulated cups. Coolers are not permitted.

Sunday has a full schedule of drivers and personalities making appearances before the Ally 400. Here's the full schedule for NASCAR Sunday in Nashville (all times Central).

  • 10:15 a.m.: Kyle Petty at Fan Zone stage
  • 10:30 a.m.: Harrison Burton at Fan Zone stage
  • 11 a.m.: "Trackside Live" at Fan Zone stage
  • 11 a.m.: Carson Hocevar as part of "Trackside Live"
  • 11:15 a.m.: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Josef Newgarden as part of "Trackside Live." Brad Keselowski at Consumer Cellular booth
  • 11:25 a.m.: Alex Bowman at the Ally booth in the Fan Zone
  • 11:30 a.m.: Erik Jones at the infield pre-race stage. Austin Dillon at Fan Zone stage. Noah Gragson at the Ford display
  • 11:45 a.m.: Kyle Busch as part of "Trackside Live." Riley Herbst at the Ford display.
  • Noon: Brennan Poole at MACC Door Systems booth. Zane Smith at the Ambetter display, Kurt Busch at the Toyota display, Ryan Preece at the Ford display. AJ Allmendinger on the infield pre-race stage.
  • 12:10 p.m.: Austin Cindric at the Ford display. Chase Elliott in the Green Room Lounge (must have a ticket for the Green Room Lounge)
  • 12:15 p.m.: Kyle Larson at the infield pre-race stage
  • 12:30 p.m.: Austin Cindric in the Green Room Lounge (must have a ticket for the Green Room Lounge)
